(ST. LOUIS), (November 1, 2022) – Louisville Save A Lot owner Mike Welch awarded the prize for Save A Lot’s Class-iest Teacher Sweepstakes on Monday, October 31.  First grade teacher Adrienne Moore-Davenport was given $500 in Save A Lot gift cards after the nomination written by Mela’nie Henry was chosen at random.

In Henry’s nomination of Moore-Davenport, she said, “She’s intentional, passionate, educated and willing to do what’s necessary to meet students’ needs.” As part of the sweepstakes, Henry was also awarded a $100 Save A Lot gift card.

Welch was so moved when hearing about the great work Moore-Davenport does, he brought snacks for the classroom and made a $500 donation to Layne Elementary where Moore-Davenport works. “Hearing how Mrs. Moore-Davenport spends much of her own time and money giving back to her students was truly inspirational,” Welch said. “Her students and fellow teachers look up to her and I’m proud to be able to do what I can to help her and Layne Elementary continue to do great things here in the Louisville community.”
