Lexington, TN (October 19, 2022) – Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Gary LeVox made a surprise visit on Monday to the Lexington, TN Save A Lot—taking photos with fans, giving autographs and helping cover the cost of groceries for customers.

Throughout his two-hour appearance in the store, LeVox distributed some $5,000 in gift cards to customers, including presenting a $3,000 gift card to the First United Methodist Church Food Bank, a community group with a longstanding relationship with the store.
“It was great to bless people with gift cards especially this time of year. The fact that Save A Lot is in these small communities giving back really means a lot,” said LeVox. “I come from a small town in Ohio and know what it means to have local businesses investing in the community. That’s exactly what Shannon McPherson and his team is doing here in Lexington and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
This partnership between LeVox and Save A Lot started after he visited his local store in Nashville. As the singer songwriter was shopping the aisles of the store, he recognized his song, “My Wish,” over the speakers and captured that moment for his TikTok followers. Nearly 6 million views later, LeVox and Save A Lot formed a partnership centered around giving back and making a difference in the communities our stores serve.
“Never did I think that posting a video of me in my Nashville Save A Lot would turn into this awesome partnership,” LeVox said. “I was just doing my weekly shopping, stocking up on essentials for my family when I heard my song come on over the speakers. That song means so much to me and I’ve had fans tell me it has inspired them as well.
